Job Title: Product Manager – Merchant Sales, Payfacs & Acquiring (Contract Role)

About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to join our Merchant Sales and Acquiring team in the GCC region. This role is pivotal in driving ecosystem integrity, ensuring compliance across acquiring partners, and expanding the acceptance landscape for digital payments.
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end planning, implementation, and tracking of key initiatives that promote product adoption, project management, regulatory compliance, and cash-to-card conversion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives focused and project Management on ecosystem integrity, ensuring Acquirers and Payfacs comply with scheme rules and mandates.
- Interpret and apply acquiring-specific scheme regulations, including MCC usage, merchant data quality, and new product mandates.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Risk, Product) and external stakeholders (Acquirers, Payfacs, Merchants) to ensure smooth implementation of compliance requirements.
- Monitor ecosystem health using available tools and manage projects to address gaps.
- Develop and manage a compliance monitoring framework.
- Conduct financial and business analysis to identify strategic opportunities that drive mutual revenue growth.
- Produce reports and presentations for senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in acquiring, interchange, or compliance roles within the payments space in the UAE.
- Strong technical understanding of card schemes and payment regulations.
- Proven experience in managing scheme rules from identification to implementation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience conducting gap analyses and producing actionable insights.
- Familiarity with the payments ecosystem including issuers, acquirers, merchants, and networks.
