We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a leading media and publishing company shaping the future of digital content, storytelling, and audience engagement.


With millions of viewers and subscribers across platforms, we rely on data to power our creativity, optimise operations, and deliver meaningful experiences.


To strengthen our data capabilities, we are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing technology team.


Role Overview:


As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to ensure our data infrastructure supports everything from content insights to audience analytics. Your work will play a key role in helping us deliver smarter, data-driven decisions across the company.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using GCP services.
  • Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage).
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver clean, reliable, and well-structured data sets.
  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest in cloud data engineering, especially within GCP.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with hands-on expertise in public cloud
  • Experience with tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, etc. is highly beneficial
  • Strong proficiency in Python & SQL and experience with data modeling.
  • Experience with streaming and batch data processing is beneficial
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Bonus: Experience in the media, entertainment, or digital content industry.
