About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team based in our Brighton office, with a background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance software solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining software that is critical to our flagship access control products.

 

  • You will design solutions for new features and bug fixes according to project requirements and specifications
  • Investigate software defects as assigned and provide timely resolutions
  • Identify problems or risks early on in the development cycle to help the team avoid or mitigate these risks to ensure efficient delivery of work to be completed
  • You will play an active part in reviewing your own and other people's code throughout the development process to help the team ensure good coding practices as we deliver our work
  • Proactively contribute to technical discussion and drive issues to closure and provide clear technical updates to project and management teams on a regular basis
  • Actively contribute towards decision on overall architecture and technologies used in our software products

 

What are we looking for?

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Proven industry experience may be accepted as a substitute.
  • Experience in back-end development, especially in C# .NET and experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Angular
  • Experience with .NET Web API
  • Experience working with SQL Server
  • An excellent team player who enjoys collaborating with other developers on your team
