About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS Developer to join our dynamic team in London on a hybrid work basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative iOS applications that meet the needs of our diverse client base. Your expertise will contribute to building high-quality, scalable, and user-centric mobile solutions that align with industry best practices and Apple’s design principles. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to deliver seamless mobile experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile technology, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering excellence in every project.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in iOS application development. You should be highly proficient in Swift, with optional familiarity with Objective-C. A strong understanding of the iOS SDK and Xcode is essential. Experience with modern development frameworks such as SwiftUI, Combine, and concurrency features like async/await is required. You should have expertise in architectural patterns including MVVM, VIPER, or Clean Architecture, and familiarity with dependency injection tools like Resolver, Swinject, or Needle. Knowledge of working with CoreData, Swift Package Manager (SPM), CocoaPods, and integrating third-party SDKs is important. Experience in developing modular SDKs or reusable components will be an added advantage. A deep understanding of iOS performance optimization, debugging, and testing frameworks such as XCTest and XCUI is necessary. Additionally, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and agile development methodologies is expected. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
As an iOS Developer at Ascendion, your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing high-quality iOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will translate functional requirements into technical solutions, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability. Your role involves collaborating with UI/UX designers to create intuitive interfaces aligned with Apple’s design principles. You will develop and maintain modular SDKs and reusable components to streamline development processes across projects. Integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, you will ensure secure and efficient data exchange with backend services. You will also participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration to uphold high standards of software quality. Monitoring app performance using analytics tools like Firebase and Sentry, troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes will be part of your routine. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest iOS development trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance your skills and contribute to the team’s growth. Managing app store submissions, release cycles, and documentation is also within your scope of responsibilities.
