Firewall Security Engineer
6 Month Contract
Newbury (Hybrid)
£400/day (Outside IR35)
Firewall Security Engineer needed with active SC Security Clearance and proven experience of Cisco Identity Services Engine (Cisco ISE). 6 Month Rolling Contract.
The vast majority of work is expected to be remote, with occasional travel to customer Data Centre sites in Newbury, Warwick or West/South England on average once a month.
Working with a global IT Consultancy on large-scale network solutions projects for a Telecoms end client. Start ASAP in September/October 2025.
Key skills, experience + tasks will include:

Key skills, experience + tasks will include:
- Must have strong Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) experience.
- In-depth Firewalls + Network Security experience including: F5, Juniper, Checkpoint or Bluecoat.
- Technical Ownership of a Telecoms end client's Network Security Infrastructure estate, processes, documentation + lifecycle management.
- Acting as the technical point of contact for all Network Security related projects, changes and modifications, including firewall rules base.
- Point of escalation and link to vendor support for Network Security infrastructure incidents.
- Design of customer networks including input into High-Level and Low-Level design (HLD/LLD).
- Technical support, change management (physical/remote), customer inventory management, EOL, hardware, software.
- Technical Environment: Cisco ISE, F5, Checkpoint, Juniper, Bluecoat, Cisco Networking, Cisco IPT / QoS / 802.1x, switches, wireless, Inflobox DNS, SSL VPN, DMVPN, IPsec, WAN, routing protocols.
- SC Security Clearance is essential for this contract.
