We are looking for a Network Design Engineer to join us, to take responsibility for providing the network solutions that underpin all the applications and services across Kingfisher and our banners , ensuring service excellence in our stores and online.
This role is based at our B&Q head office just outside Southampton, with the expectation of 3 days a week in the office and travel to other sites across the UK/Europe as required .

What's the job?
- Delivering network stability and availability and participating in the design, support and delivery of projects.
- Designing, testing and implementing SD-WAN/WAN/LAN/ WiFi /Security solutions within head offices, stores, distribution centres, datacentres and network connectivity into the cloud.
- Contributing to the development of the network roadmap, strategy and standards, which includes the assessment of vendor solutions and new innovations.
- Keeping abreast of third-party services, telecoms industry benchmarks and trends, in order to identify opportunities for development of our platforms, focusing on simplification and cost reduction.
