A leading Front Office Trading House in Paris is seeking a Development Manager to lead a growing team of engineers building a greenfield trading system. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the chance to work closely with traders, shape the firm’s technology strategy, and drive the delivery of cutting-edge trading applications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of full stack developers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Define and oversee the technical roadmap for next-generation trading platforms.
• Partner directly with traders and front-office stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Implement best practices across Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Drive architectural decision-making and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Oversee delivery timelines, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record as a Development Manager, Engineering Manager, or Tech Lead in trading or financial services.
• Strong technical background with C# .NET, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and ideally Java.
• Experience managing distributed systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with containerization and messaging technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD) and modern development practices.
