We are looking for

A System Engineer to take ownership of vehicle-level requirements and ensure they are translated effectively into subsystem specifications. You will play a central role in bridging road and aeronautical certification standards with the technical requirements needed for successful system integration.

Working closely with engineering teams, system owners, and technical management, you will develop requirement downflow strategies, validate safety and certification documentation, and guarantee consistency across all levels of the product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage requirements from top-level specifications down to detailed subsystem and unit-level requirements.
  • Review and validate safety documentation, certification compliance, and requirement traceability.
  • Collaborate with technical management to define requirement allocation and downflow strategies.
  • Work with engineers and system owners to adapt and refine requirement sets.
  • Ensure compliance with aeronautical and automotive certification processes.
  • Support cross-disciplinary teams to achieve alignment across all design and certification activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive, or related field).
  • Strong experience in requirements management across complex systems.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical and automotive certification standards and associated processes.
  • Solid background in CAD engineering tools (preferably SolidWorks).
  • Experience with safety-critical system design and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • High level of independence, initiative, and accountability.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
