We are building a world-class team of scientists, engineers, and leaders to bring our innovation to market. We’re now seeking an experienced Deputy CTO to help lead our engineering organization, shape our product strategy, and ensure seamless execution from concept to launch.


About the Role: Project Manager in Renewable Energy Innovation


As Deputy CTO, you will act as the operational and strategic leader of SeaPattern’s engineering function. You will drive day-to-day execution of the engineering roadmap, oversee system and product requirements, and ensure technical excellence, reliability, and scalability across all development phases.

This is a senior leadership role combining hands-on technical oversight with strategic planning and stakeholder management. You will co-lead the Engineering Committee, collaborating with the CEO and CTO on engineering strategy, product decisions, and long-term innovation priorities.


Main Responsibilities


  • Lead daily engineering operations, fostering a high-performing, engaged culture.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of the product roadmap and define system/product requirements across teams.
  • Drive product development from design reviews through prototyping, testing, and scaling.
  • Co-lead the Engineering Committee with the CTO, shaping strategy and prioritizing initiatives.
  • Oversee budgets, resources, and risk mitigation to support current and future roadmap goals.
  • Represent SeaPattern’s technology to customers, suppliers, and partners, aligning product, commercial, and supply chain goals.
  • Guide IP strategy, compliance, and quality KPIs to maintain technical defensibility and excellence.
  • Define and communicate design and specification requirements to suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and certification processes


Required Qualifications – Experience in Managing Technical Projects


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • “10+ years’ leadership” experience in engineering or systems development in clean tech or related industries.
  • Proven senior leadership experience with recognized technical authority, able to set direction and make high-impact engineering decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex technical solutions from concept to launch.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, architecture, and product development processes.
  • Skilled communicator with experience managing budgets, risks, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of IP strategy and regulatory frameworks advantageous.
