Responsibilities 

• Lead the development of native Android applications for Augmency’s AR wearable devices 
• Implement and optimize video conferencing WebRTC and real-time remote assistance features 
• Work closely with product and hardware teams to ensure smooth integration with AR headset components (camera, display, sensors, connectivity) 
• Ensure low latency, performance optimization, and stability across the device 
• Mentor junior developers and set coding standards for the Android team  

Qualifications 

• 3+ years experience in Android development 
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin 
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and app lifecycle management 
• Experience with REST APIs / WebSocket communication 
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining complex Android apps 
• Bonus: Video conferencing technologies, WebRTC-based solutions experience 
• Bonus: Android OS (AOSP) building experience 
• Bonus: ARCore / OpenXR experience
