Job Description: Senior UX/UI Designer

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join the growing team of our portfolio project, Amal Labs, and help shape the future of education technology.

Role Overview

As a Senior UX/UI Designer at Amal Labs, you will lead the design of intuitive, inclusive, and impactful digital experiences for educators and learners. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate complex ideas into simple, elegant interfaces. The role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to human-centered design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process: from research and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and prototypes.
• Design bilingual (English & Arabic) user interfaces that are functional, visually appealing, and culturally inclusive.
• Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and developers to deliver user-centered solutions aligned with Amal Labs’ vision.
• Develop and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
• Conduct usability testing and apply user insights to iterate and refine designs.
• Stay up-to-date on UX/UI trends, accessibility standards, and EdTech design best practices.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or AI-driven platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design processes, bilingual (English & Arabic) interface design, and impactful product experiences.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Experience with design systems, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment.
