About the Job
The Jr. Data Analyst supports business operations by applying analytical methods to deliver actionable insights and promote a data-driven culture. This role involves gathering requirements, building analytical solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to highlight key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot data issues, and contribute to business intelligence (BI) initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data and statistical analysis, ideally within a financial institution setting.
- Extract and analyze data using SQL; create reports with BI tools (preferably Power BI).
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes to automate reporting.
- Collaborate with finance, business, compliance, and operations teams to build analytical solutions.
- Ensure quality assurance of financial data and provide data evidence during audits.
- Manage reporting environments, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- Support the development of a financial data warehouse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
- Early-career professional (up to 2 years of relevant experience, internships welcome).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Basic SQL knowledge; Python or ETL tools (Alteryx, Kepion, etc.) a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
