Company Description

Join a leading market research firm at the forefront of survey design innovation. Be part of a company that prioritises delivering insightful consumer data through engaging, web-based survey interfaces.

Team Overview

Work within a small, dynamic group of developers and designers, guided by an expert Product Owner with deep experience in market research. The team is fully remote and collaborates effectively using ClickUp for project management. Flexible working hours and location freedom will allow you to produce your best work.

Role

We are seeking a freelance UI/UX Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive and accessible survey interfaces.

This role focuses on managing and enhancing our design system, which integrates tools such as Figma, Storybook and Zeroheight. The system has been built from scratch to meet the specific requirements of market research, which standard frameworks like Material Design do not fully address.

You will need strong UI/UX expertise and a structured approach to using Figma, with precise element labelling and tagging. Knowledge of TypeScript would be an advantage, and prior experience building design systems is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert UI/UX guidance while managing and evolving our design system

• Collaborate using Figma and expand knowledge into Storybook and Zeroheight

• Apply atomic design principles to maintain consistency and coherence across interfaces

• Design with accessibility in mind, following ISO 40500 and WCAG 2.2 AA standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in UI/UX design, particularly with Figma

• Familiarity with design systems and their components, especially Storybook and Zeroheight

• Strong understanding and application of atomic design principles

• Expertise in accessibility standards to ensure inclusive design

Why Join Us?

• Flexible hours and remote working, enabling you to work when and where you are most productive

• Collaboration with a talented, forward-thinking team

• Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects shaping the future of market research

I think we’d be looking at 20 hours/week and up. We’ve been working on retooling one specific (large) survey for the client, but I already have another job in the pipeline that will likely require us to utilise some of the basics from the work we’ve already done in order to redesign another survey.

Ownership of Storybook and Zeroheight is also important, and will become even more so as we hopefully branch out into more surveys and work for more departments within the client’s structure.
