We’re Hiring: 24/7 NOC Engineer – Belfast (Onsite)
We’re looking for a 24/7 NOC Engineer to join a busy Network Operations Centre team based in Newtownabbey. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with IT/Networking experience – or a recent graduate with CCNA/Networking knowledge – who is eager to develop their career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
🔹 Location: Newtownabbey (onsite at Belfast NOC)
🔹 Type: Full-time, Permanent
🔹 Interview Process: 2-stage (via Teams)
🔹 Security Clearance: Required (or ability to obtain)
Shift Pattern
- 4 days on (7am – 7pm), 4 days off
- 4 nights on (7pm – 7am), 4 days off
- Repeat rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of escalation for customer calls.
- Log and manage faults/service requests via Remedy.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Adtran routers/switches, DSLAMs, modems, and other IT systems.
- Manage circuit faults across ADSL, SDSL, Ethernet, NGA, MPF, and SMPF.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers/field engineers.
- Monitor network health using SolarWinds.
- Maintain accurate ticket updates and shift handovers.
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, NOC, or Networking (recent grads welcome).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts; CCNA or equivalent knowledge preferred.
- Troubleshooting and escalation skills, with high attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working shifts (in any sector) is a plus.
- Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.
