An outstanding opportunity exists to join a leading Australian investment bank as an Investment Banking Analyst within their high-performing Energy & Infrastructure team. This team advises on some of the most significant transactions in the market, spanning energy transition, renewables, transport, utilities, and core infrastructure.

The Role

As an Analyst, you will play an integral role in the execution of complex M&A and capital advisory mandates. Working closely with senior bankers, you will gain exposure to landmark deals and develop a strong technical foundation while building sector expertise. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting execution of M&A transactions across energy and infrastructure.
• Developing detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
• Preparing client presentations, pitchbooks, and transaction materials.
• Conducting industry and company research to support advisory mandates.
• Assisting in due diligence and coordination of transaction workstreams.

About You

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual who is passionate about investment banking and the energy & infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate will have:

• 12+ months of M&A advisory experience OR 2+ years of broader corporate finance, Big 4 deals/transaction services, or valuation experience.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work in high-performing teams and under time pressure.
• A strong academic background in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field.
