The Apparel Designer creates activewear collections for our private label and licensed sport events. The role focuses on combining fresh design ideas with functionality, making sure each product fits market trends, customer needs, and licensing guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring product agrees with business strategy: evaluate sales report and market trends for correct range forecast and SKU planning.
- Selecting fabrics and trims and framing ideas into technical design sheets for development.
- Tracing development process via communication with manufacturers.
- Collaborating with the Design Manager to ensure development packages and designs are accurate.
- Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
- Presenting stories, mood, color boards, and samples to internal and external teams.
- Communicating to vendors all pending questions to achieve efficient development and production.
- Focusing on the commercial side of the product to achieve company goals
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design.
- 5-7 years’ experience designing activewear for men, women, and children.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (including CADs, TDS, Keynote), with strong hand drawing ability.
- Knowledge of GCC textile market processes required.
- Strong garment construction knowledge and understanding of mass market documentation flow.
- Previous experience with AI application tools is an advantage.
