Role Purpose

To manage and operate Omantel retail outlets within the BMB region, overseeing day-to-day operations of the outlets, ensuring efficient and effective operations in line with Omantel commercial strategy

Position Information

  • Minimum role requirements:
  • Bachelor in relevant discipline
  • 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a management position

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement regional operational strategies aligned with Omantel’s retail goals
  • Oversee daily operations across stores, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with store managers to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Manage store openings and closing, equipping store managers with necessary tools and resources
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and collaborate with merchandising to meet customer needs
  • Develop training programs for staff, conduct store audits, and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Analyze sales data, monitor marketing programs, and leverage insights
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders and keep abreast of retail industry trends
  • Lead recruitment, training, and coaching of retail staff
  • Prepare period performance reports for senior management / board members and develop SLAs
  • Develop and enforce security and safety protocols at retail stores
  • Manage store budgets and expenses, ensuring expenditures are in line with budget
  • Collaborate with real estate department to identify new retail locations and negotiate site leases
  • Facilitate communications and collaboration between store managers and other departments
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
