The role…

Reporting to the Product Director, the Fullstack Developer will be a key member of the Engineering team responsible for designing and implementing the customer-facing front end for Verdantix’s new software catalogue product as well as future AI-powered applications.

This includes development of new web applications that integrate with backend data systems, managing interactive data visualization platform, and future AI-driven UX features throughout our customer facing platforms. The role can also extend to taking over and evolving client-facing sites currently maintained by external agencies.

This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in the office during probationary period, and will decrease to 2 days upon successful completion.

What you’ll be doing…

• Build and maintain customer-facing websites and applications for Verdantix’s software catalogue and AI-powered products.
• Translate UX designs into responsive, performant, and scalable front-end experiences.
• Host new web platforms handing user permissioning and authentication in a manner that creates a single sign on UX for customers and is interoperable across various platform builds.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations to connect front end with backend services and databases.
• Implement AI-enabled interfaces (e.g., semantic search, conversational UX) in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
• Create interactive data visualizations to present complex datasets to customers.
• Ensure best practices in performance, accessibility, and security across platforms.
• Capable of balancing between frontend development work and backend development work, depending on business needs.

About you…

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience across the stack, with strong front end focus (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Proficiency in building modern web applications from scratch (not only visualization layers).
• Strong skills in API design and integration.
• Experience (or strong demonstrable capability) in developing customer-facing AI-powered tools (chatbots, semantic search, or other LLM integrations).
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services for hosting and scaling applications.
• Bonus: experience taking ownership of or replatforming legacy/externally built websites.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, with initiative to take on new role within expanding Data & Technology team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly translate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders.
• A demonstrable interest in developing solutions that leverage the most modern, cutting edge technologies
• Passion for stretching oneself, working with new technologies and tools - always looking to learn, develop, and showcase new skills.
