Back End Developer

Role:

• We’re looking for an experienced senior backend developer to design and build data-driven systems at scale.
• You’ll work with a modern stack (Java, SQL, Spark, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes) to power high-volume data pipelines and backend services that directly influence business-critical decisions.
• This is a high-impact role where you’ll have ownership of core systems, collaborate across teams, and grow into leadership or architecture roles as the team scales.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that support real-world impact.
• Optimize performance for data-intensive applications (memory, query tuning, parallel processing).
• Integrate and manage data systems (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Snowflake, and data warehouses).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for backend and data workflows using GitLab/Jenkins.
• Implement security best practices to ensure compliance with data protection standards.
• Contribute to team growth by participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years in Java backend development, focused on data-intensive applications.
• Advanced SQL expertise (complex queries, optimization).
• Experience with parallel/distributed data processing (Apache Spark, Flink).
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also valued).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and software best practices.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS certification (Solutions Architect / Data Engineer).
• Python scripting for data analysis.
• Data warehousing and ETL design experience.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Agile/Scrum project experience.
