Assistant CTO

Salary range: Rs 1200000 - Rs 1800000 (ie INR 12-18 LPA)

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Assistant CTO to support our technology leadership and drive innovation across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, systems architecture, and emerging technologies, coupled with strategic thinking and leadership capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CTO, contribute to technology strategy, and influence critical technical decisions that impact the organization's growth and scalability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the CTO to define, implement, and manage the company's technology roadmap and strategic initiatives.
Lead technical teams in the design, development, and deployment of scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions.
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks, providing recommendations to optimize technical processes and enhance innovation.
Oversee architecture design, coding standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Support product teams in translating business requirements into technical solutions and defining project priorities.
Assist in managing technology budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor landscapes to drive technological advantage.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in all technology initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

4-8 years of professional experience in software development, technology leadership, or system architecture.
Strong technical expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/Node.js) and modern software development frameworks.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
Experience in system architecture, database design, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation best practices.
Understanding of product management processes, agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams, with the ability to drive accountability and results.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, or data engineering.
Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced product-driven environment.
Proven ability to scale technology infrastructure in alignment with business growth
