The Role

We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join our technology delivery team. You’ll be working with stakeholders, architects, and cross functional teams to design, implement, and optimise secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments. This role requires deep AWS expertise, strong infrastructure as code skills, and the ability to embed DevOps best practices into high performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using best practice security, scalability, and performance principles.
• Writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or similar).
• Collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications and services.
• Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Contributing to the DevOps culture within teams, promoting automation, collaboration, and CI.
• Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Drone (or similar).

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer in enterprise or consulting environments.
• Strong hands-on skills with AWS services: IAM, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Secrets Manager, and S3.
• Practical experience with Drone or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Solid experience using Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong programming/scripting skills, preferably Python.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.
• Must be eligible for security clearance – British citizen or lived in the UK for the past 5 consecutive years.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Node.js and React development.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance best practices in AWS.
• Git proficiency for version control and collaboration.
