Java / Full Stack Developer (Federal Government)

Overview:

triniti is recruiting a Java / Full Stack Developer for this small to mid-size federal government agency. The role will be based in either Canberra or Sydney but with an ability to discuss a flexible working arrangement.

General Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support Java applications on Linux in line with project plans and strategy.
• Contribute to agile practices through ceremonies, events and community of practice involvement.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions from requirements gathering through to post-production support.
• Apply sustainable development practices such as DDD, TDD, code reviews, maintainable code and automated testing with a focus on security and accessibility.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, building strong relationships with product owners, stakeholders and technical peers.
• Transfer knowledge effectively via SOPs, manuals, technical docs and shared knowledge bases.

Tech Stack:

• Core: Java, Spring Boot/J2EE, REST/SOAP, Maven, GitHub, IntelliJ, JUnit/TestNG, Bootstrap, Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
• Desirable: React.js, ES6, RHEL 8, Jenkins, SonarQube, Oracle SQL, Apache Kafka, JIRA, Confluence

What is on offer and required:

• Previous experience of working in a government client is highly desirable.
• Australian citizen with an ability to apply for / or already possess a Baseline Security clearance.
• 12+12+12 month contract, with an attractive hourly rate
• Roles can be based in Sydney or Canberra
