Mid & Senior Backend Engineers (Golang)

• Mid–Senior Engineers: $140k–170k + Super + Bonus
• Senior Engineers progress into a Tech Lead: $160–180k+Super+Bonus
• Sydney CBD Hybrid: 2 days in-office.

We’re working with a mission-driven fintech scaling their engineering team in Sydney. They are modernising their platform and moving from .NET to Golang, building out greenfield features and reshaping their architecture.

What you’ll do:

• Build production Go services from scratch as part of a major replatform program
• Contribute to an event-driven, cloud-native (AWS) environment
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, DataDog observability, and modern engineering practices
• Partner with mobile, data, and product teams to deliver customer-facing features
• (Tech Lead) Provide technical guidance, lead design reviews, and mentor engineers

Tech stack:

• Go, AWS, event-driven systems
• Databases: MySQL, DynamoDB, NoSQL
• Monitoring/Observability: DataDog
• CI/CD pipelines, modern SDLC

You’ll bring:

• Strong backend experience (Go preferred, but deep backend + recent Go is fine)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Solid testing practices and a pragmatic approach to performance and security
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset
• (Tech Lead) Demonstrated experience in technical leadership
