Job Description: Palo Alto Network - Firewalls
- Palo Alto Certified – PCNSE
- Implementation and migration experience from non-Palo (Cisco or Checkpoint) to Palo Alto FW
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto FW & Expedition tool (used for Migration)
- Must have strong understanding of dynamic routing (BGP) and configuration on Palo Alto FW
- Experienced working in large/complex environments with multivendor firewall.
- Has a minimum of 6-8 Years of experience in designing and implementing Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Experienced in performing large scale firewall migrations from legacy vendor products to Palo Alto NGFW platforms.
- Has solid understanding and working experience in designing and implementing Virtual Routers and BGP on firewalls.
- Effective communication with business and technical stakeholders
- Act as the point of contact for all project issue/problem resolution and mitigate any potential conflicts within various tech stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops with stream leads for both network (corporate) and security (firewalls) to assess current implementation progress.
- Review existing documentation and deployments for:
- Cisco Multisite EVPN VXLAN
- Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Define integration requirements and migration approach for each firewall pair, focusing on connectivity and high availability (excluding firewall build and policy migration).
- Develop an integration design document covering:
- Firewall integration with the new network
- High availability, virtual systems, routing, VPC, physical connectivity
- High-level migration strategy
- Facilitate design reviews, updates, and approvals.
- Develop and document a migration approach aligned with the integration design, existing documentation, and project schedule.
- Include risk assessment, mitigation strategies, dependencies, change management, and key stakeholders in the migration documentation.
