The Special Unit for Quality Assurance conducts evaluations of organisational units, study programmes, courses and researchers. It is responsible for quality checks in appointment and tenure track procedures and prepares analyses relevant for management using various instruments (in particular surveys and data analyses). The offices of the Ethics Commission and the Ombuds Office for the Assurance of Good Scientific Practice are also part of the unit.
What You Bring To The Role
- Completed higher education degree (at least a Master's or equivalent)
- Relevant professional experience in university quality assurance
- Very good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative social science methods
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work, ability to work in a team
- High level of analytical skills
- Proficiency in survey software (especially EVASYS)
- Knowledge of social science software programmes (such as ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, SPSS, R) and data science/AI tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Business fluent in written and spoken English and German
- Willingness and ability to familiarise yourself with new areas of responsibility
- Designing and implementing quality assurance procedures (e.g. surveys, evaluations, reviews)
- Collecting, analysing and evaluating qualitative and quantitative data (e.g. conducting interviews and writing reports on the results)
- Providing technical support for the EVASYS survey software, including interfaces to Moodle, u:space and DWH
- Researching reviewers
