Job Title: Senior Java Developer – Brussels (Hybrid, Long-term Project)

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a major business transformation program in Brussels. You’ll be part of a growing 70-person department, working on a mix of handovers, refactoring, and greenfield development of business-critical applications. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-scale systems while collaborating with analysts, architects, and business teams.

About you

You’re an experienced developer (5–7+ years) who thrives in complex environments. You’re comfortable working full-stack, but especially strong in backend development. You enjoy problem-solving, collaborating in Agile teams, and delivering clean, scalable code.

What we need

• Strong Java & Spring Framework expertise
• JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security, REST & SOAP services
• Microservices, SOA, CQRS
• CI/CD, JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, Selenium
• Frontend exposure (Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Git/SVN, Openshift
• Agile/Scrum mindset
• Fluent in English + working knowledge of French or Dutch

Nice-to-haves: Kafka, Oracle, Talend, ZK
