Role Description

This is a full-time Network Security Engineer role, located on-site in the Brussels Metropolitan Area. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network security measures. Daily tasks include monitoring network traffic, performing vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents. The role also involves maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and ensuring compliance with security standards and protocols.


Key Responbilities

  • Translate high-level security policies into concrete architectures, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Lead and contribute to major network segmentation and secure internet services projects within financial or large enterprise environments.
  • Conduct full lifecycle activities: specification analysis, market research, product selection, concept validation, implementation, documentation, and presentations.
  • Provide second- and third-level support for complex networking and security incidents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams while maintaining autonomy in project delivery.
  • Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and technical presentations.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and ensure knowledge sharing.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Network Engineer in complex, large-scale environments
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent/higher) in IT, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Strong written and spoken proficiency in English (technical) and either French or Dutch
  • Network Administration and Network Engineering skills
  • Proficient in Network Security and Cybersecurity practices
  • Expertise in Information Security
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous
