STYXTECH.systems
Germany · Contract · Mid-Senior

Purpose of Role / Expectation

  • Network Infra Management, Administration, Planning & Design

Key Responsibilities

  • Activities in the demand process: checking the list, identifying relevant ones for us, conducting interviews with the contact persons, initiating the necessary provision steps
  • WAN: Management of all Cato boxes in the portal, in operational name, new boxes, participation in the VQ meeting and control of the resulting activities, sizing, existing and new lines, coordination and monitoring of the provision of lines, advising the technical teams on routing issues, administration the European IP range and allocation of IP address spaces for new locations
  • LAN: on boarding and activation of new access points, administration of the associated DHCP server, ensuring that all defined standards are adhered to, configuration and delivery or in company name and configuration. Changes to existing switches, communication and control of technical suppliers, even in the event of malfunctions, Nexans switch management
  • Operational business: know who you have to address on which side and what, have the history ready, how which lines or construction projects came about and why some things are solved the way they are. Often acting as a buffer between the interests of the customer and the project.
  • Communication: serve as an escalation point for everything that has a network connection, in particular to compensate for inability of the VQ during deployment and configuration changes and reduce installation times from two days to 2 hours.
  • Incidence management: in the event of escalations or technical problems, stuck or very specific problems with specialist knowledge and coordination. Go in between and create solutions so that outages should only last days instead of weeks. Recognize when the supplier is ripping us off.
  • Supplier management: ensuring that offers come in for the things we need, that the PO process doesn't constantly get stuck, ensuring that services can be carried out as agreed and in the right time, for example by providing access at short notice teaching things that someone else has forgotten, running after the necessary decision-makers so that almost insoluble points can still be solved somehow, for example by releasing or ordering certain things.
  • Keep an eye on the schedule of the individual construction sites and react to the regularly changing requirements and schedules in such a way that neither suppliers make claims for damages, nor the construction site is unable to work when it wants to get started. This also includes ensuring that the necessary materials are in stock and that parts with long delivery times are ordered on time.
  • Recognize when our architecture team messes up and wants to introduce things that are neither tested nor defined in the standard. Ensure that there is a defined standard at all.
  • Having an overview of which locations we actually have and if something goes wrong, we know what countermeasures can be taken to deal with it.
  • Warehouse management: recognize and decide whether you still need that black box in the corner. If yes, for what? And who?
  • Have an interdisciplinary overview when IT, FM and Paul are planning anything, so that pre-programmed errors in design or order execution can be addressed in a timely manner.
  • Constantly change on boarding so that employees and processes support them as best as possible and try to establish and implement at least certain standards.
  • This also includes ensuring that agreements concluded are known and the reasons why are made transparent.
  • The available resources SOKO ensures that the urgent issues as well as the important ones receive sufficient attention.
  • Act as an interface to your level for the team to make decisions when needed.
