The three labs serve as the platform enabling global customers, regulators and other stakeholders to perform independent security assessments of ZTE products, services and processes, and the platform for collaboration, communication and innovation in cybersecurity.


ZTE Germany Cybersecurity Lab is looking for motivated and dedicated Cybersecurity Test Engineers to join us. Position: Junior Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Start Date: ASAP


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting security assessments of communication and IoT products, including basic vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk evaluation.
  2. Support the preparation of security testing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Learn and follow laboratory security testing processes, methodologies, and standards under the guidance of senior team members.
  4. Stay updated on security regulations and standards, especially those relevant to Germany and Europe (such as GDPR, ENISA, GSMA, 3GPP, etc.).
  5. Participate in team discussions, customer visits, and technical exchanges, presenting findings as needed.
  6. Collaborate with team members on security research, testing activities, and project tasks.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work and reside in Germany.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electronic Communication, or a related field.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, with some practical experience in security testing, vulnerability assessment, or related coursework/projects preferred.
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn new technologies, concepts, and skills quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of security testing tools and methods; willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in both German and English.
  • Team-oriented, with a proactive attitude and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Some hands-on experience or coursework in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, or related areas is preferred.
  • Familiarity with German and European security standards/regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in cybersecurity, including AI threat modeling, automated vulnerability detection, or adversarial attack/defense techniques, is preferred.
