Job Title: Back End Developer

Location: Dublin Office weekly 3 days onsite work

Eligibility: Stamp4 (min 8 months Validity) OR Irish OR European

Note: Experience should be 9+ yrs

A Backend Developer with finance and cards experience will design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic, databases, and APIs for financial applications, focusing on secure and efficient data management. This role requires strong programming skills, particularly in languages like Java or Node.js, and experience with financial technologies and card processing systems.

Responsibilities:

System Design and Development:

· Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems for financial applications, including core application logic, databases, and APIs.

Data Management:

· Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval using both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

API Development:

· Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring they are well-documented, secure, and performant.

Financial Systems Integration:

· Integrate with various financial systems, including payment gateways, card processors, and banking APIs.

Security and Compliance:

· Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and data protection standards.

Performance Optimization:

· Monitor and optimize the performance of backend systems, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

· Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and ensure code quality.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Staying Updated:

· Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in backend development and the financial industry.

Qualifications:

· Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js is often required.

· Databases: Experience with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases is highly desirable.

· API Development: Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

· Financial Systems: Knowledge of financial technologies, card processing systems, and relevant regulations.

· Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is often a plus.

· Security: Strong understanding of security best practices and experience with secure coding.

· Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
