Cyber Security Analyst - Fund Administrator

SMT Fund Services (Ireland) Limited provides fund administration services to a wide variety of investment products covering all alternative and regulated products. Our service covers all the constituent parts required to independently produce a fund’s dealing or indicative net asset value (NAV) on a monthly, weekly or daily basis.


Department

The Information Security Department has the ownership over all cyber related risk not limited to data, awareness, assets (tangible and in tangible). Information Security Department makes sure to implement security controls for lower down the risk limited to organization risk appetite. Information Security Department make sure assessment and assurance of currently implemented security controls for evaluation of effectiveness already implemented security controls. Information Security Department is responsible for covering end-to-end enterprise security and present to all stakeholders based on recursive basis.


Role Overview and Responsibilities;

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for;

  • Manage the daily checks on a range of cyber security tools such as firewalls, EDR, and IDS/IPS.
  • These checks include system and tool health checks, identifying and responding to alerts and completing tickets.
  • Oversee and coordinate compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies in a regulated financial services setting.
  • Assist with gathering information for audits.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Monitor and respond to security tickets, using the company’s IT ticketing system, and be prepared to interface with company users.
  • Support the installation of software, such as security agents on endpoints.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to security tools and processes.
  • Support the documentation of processes, and the updating of security polices and standards.


Key Requirements

  • Experience working as in IT help-desk is an advantage.
  • A demonstrable background in technical cyber security, with hands-on experience in security technologies and practices.
  • Experience with Public Cloud and virtualization platforms, with vendor certifications an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen interest in cyber security in general.
  • Relevant certifications such as COMPTIA Security+, MS Windows Administrator, Linux Administrator, CCNA and Cloud Certifications such as AZ100, AZ900 and AWS Cloud Fundamentals.
  • A good understanding of technologies such as servers, virtualisation, storage and networking.
  • The ability to learn new skills on a variety of security tools, including platforms is an essential requirement for this role, and candidates will be asked to provide evidence of projects, labs or self-directed study.
