Python Backend Software Engineer (Cloud)

Job Description

We are an agile team developing the Danske Bank Cloud Automation Portal, with a mission to automate everything within the enterprise. We work with distributed systems in a complex and dynamic environment. Our backend is built in Python, and the frontend uses Angular, with our product running in Docker containers on Kubernetes. We have end-to-end ownership of our product, choose our own direction and technologies, and release to production multiple times a day.

Contribute to a large-scale cloud migration to AWS, with guidance and support from senior team members along the way.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

You will:

• Be responsible for backend development of our cloud automation portal
• Develop capabilities for infrastructure migration to AWS and resource optimisation
• Write high-quality code with good test coverage
• Collaborate with your peers to perform code reviews
• Provide suggestions for product improvement
• Participate in on-call rotation
  
  

About you:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Python and Django
• Good knowledge of Git, MySQL, Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to maintain a clean codebase, set high coding standards and apply critical thinking skills
• Exposure to distributed systems, Go, infrastructure-as-code and cloud concepts, Celery framework, Kubernetes, API development and CI/CD would be highly beneficial
• Positive attitude, sense of ownership and interest in expanding skills
• Upper-Intermediate English skills
  
  

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3520 EUR to 5280 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
