QA IT Software Engineer – Contract
💼 Contract Length: 6 months (rolling, strong potential to extend)
💶 Rate: Up to €60 per hour
📍 Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (Hybrid – mix of onsite & remote)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA IT Software Engineer to join a dynamic international team working on innovative, business-facing digital solutions. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact automation and tooling program within a large-scale IT organization.
You’ll be at the forefront of test automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration, supporting strategic QA initiatives and enabling best-in-class developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to QA automation and tooling strategy, including BrowserStack, Playwright (API/UI functional testing), and k6 (performance testing).
- Collaborate in an agile squad to deliver both sprint goals and long-term mission objectives.
- Work across the stack with Java and TypeScript to implement test automation solutions.
- Integrate systems and build CI/CD pipelines (DevOps, YAML, QA lifecycle).
- Drive PoCs and experiment with innovative testing approaches.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and integration challenges.
- Take ownership of tasks, ensure delivery, and contribute to architecture discussions.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering or QA automation.
- Strong skills in test automation: API, UI, and performance testing (Playwright, k6).
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, Docker, GitHub, and virtual machines.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently, conduct PoCs, and collaborate across teams.
- Strong communication skills with openness, transparency, and a willingness to share knowledge.
