Senior Project Manager

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Oversee the time, cost, and quality of all facets of the assigned project(s) and coordinate the project's requirements in collaboration with the client
• Manage and motivate the project team(s) through clear guidance and assignment of work
• Apply standard project management techniques in accordance with the Prince2 methodology (e.g., change control, risk/issue management)
• Develop and maintain the project plans in ServiceNow and in compliance with the client's and project requirements management best practices
• Identify, plan, and allocate resources to meet project milestones and/or initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Use the Enterprise Business Application to monitor and control project financial status and execute the project manager's duties
• Monitor and control the project progress to ensure resources are utilised in accordance with the approved budget and within the approved timelines
• Sustain effective communications with different stakeholders
• Provision of relevant inputs to the various agencies' reports
• Maintain liaison with other Project Managers and Programme Managers to ensure the integrity and coherence of the client's systems and capabilities
• Represent the client in assigned committees, steering groups/boards as required
• Maintain contact, as required, with representatives of industrial organisations
• Stay abreast of technological developments relevant to the area of work
• Participate in training, as applicable

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• A Master's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline with 5 years post-related experience or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years post-related experience
• Recent experience in Project Management with major communication and/or command and control/management information systems
• A recognised project management qualification, such as Prince2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Project Management techniques based upon PMI Knowledge area, or Agile would be a plus
• Experience in applying multi-disciplinary engineering and management techniques in the acquisition of complex communication and information systems
• Proactive attitude in seeking and maintaining trust from stakeholders
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, with strong briefing and presentation skills
• Demonstrable skills with accountability for both successes and failures with project deliverables, customer satisfaction, resource management, procurements, and financial management
• Proven track record of leading large, medium, and small IT implementation projects
• Skilled at developing Price Proposals and Invitation for Bids competition packages
• Extensive background in chairing Project Boards and facilitating Senior/Executive Management escalation of Project Boards
• Demonstrated expertise in effectively managing internal teams and external partners
• Accomplished in overseeing supplier relations, negotiations, conflict resolution, and contract administration
• Experienced in directing external contracts and coordinating contractors
• Well-versed in handling procurement, logistics, testing, change management, and asset management
• Strong history of mentoring and supporting junior Project Managers
• Proficient in building and leading high-performance delivery teams
• Adept at presenting to senior management and large audiences through briefings, written reports, and oral presentations
• Experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Excellent use of the English language (verbal & written)
