You will report to: Regional Marketing Manager


Location: Bucharest. 1 day per week remote working possibility


Area of responsibility: The Product Manager will own and develop ROCKWOOL product portfolio across Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus.


This includes responsibility for driving product innovation, preparing business cases for new solutions and systems, coordinating with suppliers, and identifying new business opportunities. The role combines strategic business development with hands-on market intelligence, ensuring ROCKWOOL remains the partner of choice in energy-efficient and sustainable construction.


This is the role


  • Manage and optimise the product portfolio across the five countries, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Develop and lead business cases for new products, systems, and solutions aligned with market needs and ROCKWOOL’s sustainability agenda.
  • Act as the regional voice for product innovation, working with ROCKWOOL Group to adapt global solutions to local market requirements.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, from introduction to phase-out, ensuring relevance and performance.
  • Identify and develop new business areas in line with market shifts, EU regulations, and construction trends.
  • Support the sales team with go-to-market strategies and tools for new product launches.
  • Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to design campaigns that accelerate adoption of new solutions.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders (architects, contractors, associations) to promote ROCKWOOL’s value proposition.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers in cases where systems include third-party components.
  • Ensure supplier alignment with ROCKWOOL standards for quality, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals to support system development and delivery.
  • Lead market share assessment for the region – contributing to the ROCKWOOL Group’s overall reporting
  • Gather and analyse market data on trends, competitors, pricing, and regulatory developments.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies for product development and business expansion.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on market opportunities, risks, and portfolio performance.
  • Benchmark regional product performance against other European markets to identify gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Meet regularly with production to align on product performances, new developments and ensure product quality thresholds remain high.
  • Work closely with Group Product Management to ensure alignment with global portfolio strategies.
  • Coordinate with digital marketing, sales, and technical support teams to ensure effective positioning of products and systems.
  • Provide technical and commercial expertise during training sessions, conferences, and customer engagements.


This is who you are


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in product management, business development, or related roles, ideally within construction, building materials, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering business cases for new products or systems.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency, insulation, or sustainable construction trends is preferred.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate market intelligence into strategy.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in Romanian and English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
