Job Title: Network Engineer – Palo Alto Firewall Specialist
Type: Contract (100% Remote)
Location: Nearshore to Germany
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls across enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize secure network architectures.
- Monitor, maintain, and improve network performance, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network-related incidents.
- Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for operational efficiency.
- Support project deployments, migrations, and upgrades with minimal downtime.
Must-Have Skills
- Proven expertise in Palo Alto Firewall configuration and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multicultural environments.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage:
- Cisco Routing & Switching
- Wi-Fi technologies (Cisco Meraki preferred)
- AAA solutions (CyberArk)
- OOB management tools (Uplogix)
- F5 Load Balancer
- SD-WAN solutions (VeloCloud)
- Zscaler Cloud Security
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on firewall technologies.
- Industry certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCNP, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup while maintaining proactive communication.
