Job Title: Network Engineer – Palo Alto Firewall Specialist

Type: Contract (100% Remote)

Location: Nearshore to Germany

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls across enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize secure network architectures.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve network performance, ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network-related incidents.
• Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for operational efficiency.
• Support project deployments, migrations, and upgrades with minimal downtime.

Must-Have Skills

• Proven expertise in Palo Alto Firewall configuration and administration.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multicultural environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage:

• Cisco Routing & Switching
• Wi-Fi technologies (Cisco Meraki preferred)
• AAA solutions (CyberArk)
• OOB management tools (Uplogix)
• F5 Load Balancer
• SD-WAN solutions (VeloCloud)
• Zscaler Cloud Security

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on firewall technologies.
• Industry certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCNP, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup while maintaining proactive communication.
