Are you ready to be part of something extraordinary?
At IKEA, we’re redefining the customer returns experience and we’re looking for Senior Software Engineers to help lead the way. Imagine being able to say that every return processed globally runs through the code you helped create.
As part of our digital transformation, you’ll play a key role in evolving our returns systems. You’ll design and develop new interfaces, integrate with other platforms, and measure the impact of your work on both customers and co-workers. You’ll be involved in the full DevOps lifecycle, from problem discovery to design, delivery, testing, and running solutions in production.
You care deeply about user experience, ensuring our products are fast, consistent, and reliable. You apply solid engineering principles like SOLID and DRY, value simplicity, and promote best practices across teams. You support and mentor fellow developers, collaborate to set shared standards, and use data to improve both engineering processes and digital products.
If you’re passionate about building meaningful software at scale and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
You share our vision of becoming the world’s leading multichannel home furnishing retailer and you know that great software is essential to achieving it. You understand the value of simplicity and togetherness, and you know when to lead and when to empower others.
You bring:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Expertise in web development with an Agile/DevOps mindset, and experience leading teams through change.
- Proficiency in technologies like TypeScript (React), Playwright, GCP, GitHub Actions, Terraform, microservices, REST, and event-driven architectures.
- A strong focus on accessibility, ensuring inclusive and user-friendly front-end solutions.
- A commitment to writing high-quality code, promoting agile practices, and continuously developing your skills.
- The ability to align technology with business needs and deliver outstanding user experiences for co-workers.
