Linux System Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer, ready to work in a multicultural environment. As an experienced engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of the Infrastructure team and will have a significant impact on a number of strategic initiatives.

Mission and responsibilities

Provide 2nd and 3rd level assistance

Install/configure/update application servers

Installing/configuring/updating applications

Configure new complete environments

Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve issues

Participate in the entire project life cycle

Monitor systems

Troubleshoot performance issues

Establish/enforce policies and report security risks

Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals

Job requirements

Technical skills required :

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking skills (+ proactive attitude)

Comfortable with relational database management systems concepts

Familiarity with Oracle database specifics: (PL/)SQL, objects, administration, etc. or similar

Good knowledge of network concepts (TCP layers, HTTP proxies, etc.)

Scripting skills (bash, Python, etc.)

Experience with RHEL 6-7, AIX 7

Microsoft Azure experience is a plus

Developer experience is a plus

Profile and Qualities required:

Bac+2/Bac+5 training

You have at least 3 years of experience;

With excellent interpersonal skills, you are recognized for your analytical and synthesis skills and your taste for entrepreneurship;

You are a force for proposals and you take a critical look at complex technical aspects;

Open-mindedness and quick learning ability

You have a very good level of English.
