The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate (GCS) – Group Digital Office (GDO) – EIF Business Applications Division (EIFBA) – Business Analytics Unit (BA), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2025)
(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship
You will support the team with evaluating the current data sourcing of published dashboards in Tableau Server, ensuring a single source of truth and adherence to Data Governance procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the practices and guidelines defined by the Data Governance Office are followed by the dashboard owners. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of data infrastructure, analytics, and the best practices for visualization standards.

Responsibilities
You will collaborate with various departments to test and validate robust practices and guidelines for managing Tableau dashboards.
Your responsibilities will include support and assistance in the field of:
- Safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Streamlining dashboard development and maintenance processes
- Clarifying roles to promote disciplined data management.
- Promoting sustainable and coherent dashboard and query processes
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with Tableau management.
- Throughout your traineeship, you will actively contribute to refining these practices to ensure they meet the organizational needs.
- Final year of studies or University degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, IT, Computer Science & Engineering or a related field.
- Understanding of the EIB’s mission and operational framework will be an advantage
- Understanding databases and relevant platforms will be an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn new IT tools will be an advantage
- Familiarity with Tableau software will be a distinctive advantage
- Capability to organize work effectively
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
