Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software solutions that leverage restful web services to interface with third party tools. These software applications will use standard GET and POST calls to retrieve and update data. It is expected that this software will be written in either JAVA, Kotlin or Python, with a strong preference for Kotlin.

In addition, this role will also be required to write software using Precisely SDKs written in Kotlin to store and manage internal data used by the entire Precisely organization. A third responsibility will be to learn and use various middleware applications to connect various third-party applications; the principal technology being OneTrust. Experience with using and programming the OneTrust enterprise solution is highly desirable.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop using industry standard programming languages and integrated development environments (IDEs).
• Work from a backlog of predefined tickets using industry standard issue and project tracking software (such as Jira) but be flexible enough to quickly pick up an ad hoc task. After initial training this role will consist primarily of new feature development.
• Provide software examples and reference applications to Associate Engineers.
• Write clean software with a “first time right” mentality to minimize technical debt and maximize software reuse and maintenance.
• Conform to company standards while writing code, documentation, and project artifacts.
• Participate actively in design discussions, bringing his/her perspective to product and software design.
• Assume responsibility for acquiring knowledge of the technologies and applications necessary to complete the assigned tasks.
• Become a Precisely Team Player by successfully attending training sessions, company meetings and other required activities as needed.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in computer science / software engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong JAVA or Kotlin skills are highly desired.
• Experience with GitLab Lifecyle tools.
• Experience with IntelliJ IDE for software development.
• Knowledge of relational database design and query languages (SQL)
• Self-motivated and have an interest in continuous learning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team.
• Must be hardworking, team-oriented, creative, cooperative, and an exceptional problem solver.
