Main Purpose Of The Position
The primary purpose of the SOC Analyst position is to monitor and analyze security events to protect the organization’s information assets. This role involves identifying and responding to potential security incidents, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. The analyst is expected to work proactively to prevent security breaches and enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor security alerts and assess potential threats.
- Analyze security incidents and escalate issues as necessary.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security improvements.
- Maintain and update security incident documentation.
- Provide support during security investigations and audits.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams.
- Work closely with incident response teams (CSIRT).
- Liaise with external security vendors and consultants.
- 1+ years of experience with security monitoring and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Experience with network protocols and packet analysis.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
- Certification such as SANS, CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ is preferred.
- Good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
