We are looking for an exceptional and ambitious Lead DevOps Engineer who thrives in building scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure to power our growing platform. As a dedicated DevOps leader at JobGet, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting our cloud architecture, automation, and developer enablement strategy. You’ll balance hands-on engineering with strategic decision-making, driving best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, security, and infrastructure as code. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the technical foundation of a growing product and ensure our systems scale alongside our business.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure on AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms)
- Establish and evolve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and automated software delivery
- Develop infrastructure-as-code to manage and scale environments
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure visibility, performance, and reliability
- Leverage AI/ML tools to optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate root-cause analysis, and predict infrastructure issues before they impact performance
- Ensure efficient use of compute resources (GPUs/TPUs) for AI workloads while managing costs and scalability
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI-powered DevOps tools to enhance developer productivity and operational efficiency
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to optimize build, deployment, and release processes
- Drive infrastructure cost optimization while maintaining performance and reliability
- Participate in incident response and postmortem processes; help establish and refine best practices
- Set and enforce DevOps best practices across the organization, mentoring engineers in cloud, automation, and security
- Partner with leadership to shape long-term infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 2+ years in a lead role
- Deep expertise with cloud platforms (AWS required; experience with GCP or Azure a plus)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
- Strong background in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar)
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure monitoring
- Proficiency in debugging, triaging, and isolating faults across distributed, microservices-based systems
- Experience scaling, consolidating, and standardizing infrastructure in a startup environment
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering and leadership teams and the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts
- Comfortable working in agile teams and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle
- A builder’s mindset: you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving tough problems, and enabling others to move faster
