We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Security Analyst to join our team. The Security Analyst will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and threat mitigation, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, events, and logs from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint solutions).
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation efforts.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools, technologies, and processes.
- Develop and maintain incident response documentation, playbooks, and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct security awareness activities and provide recommendations for improving the organization’s security posture.
- Stay up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEMs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and firewalls.
- Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and common attack methods.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC) are a plus.
