Are you a seasoned Android Engineer ready to shape technical direction while remaining hands-on? We are seeking a Senior Lead Android Developer to lead the development of customer-facing mobile apps and drive the evolution of an Android platform.

In this role, you’ll blend deep technical expertise with leadership, setting standards, guiding architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers. You’ll collaborate across Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver scalable, high-quality mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and advance the Android technical vision in line with product and platform goals
• Champion modern Android practices (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modular architecture)
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications
• Collaborate with Product and Design to create user-focused experiences
• Mentor Android engineers and foster cross-team technical growth
• Establish coding standards, best practices, and drive continuous improvement
• Partner with cross-functional leaders (iOS, QA, Product) to resolve complex challenges
• Contribute hands-on to critical features and core architecture
• Oversee CI/CD integration, automated testing, and production monitoring
• Lead incident management and ensure system resilience

Requirements

• 10+ years of Android development experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role
• Expert in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and mobile architecture principles
• Proven track record designing and scaling apps with millions of users
• Strong understanding of clean code, design patterns, and scalable architecture
• Experience setting technical direction, mentoring teams, and influencing engineering culture
• Knowledge of CI/CD, testing strategies, and mobile DevOps practices
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, third-party integrations, and app security
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence
