Experis IT Luxembourg is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist (m/f) for one of its clients in Luxembourg.


Your responsibilities


  • Provide expertise and guidance on security operations, architecture, and governance across diverse IT environments.
  • Assist in defining, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity controls, aligned with international frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, Essential Eight).
  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of secure infrastructures, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Nutanix).
  • Oversee the setup, tuning, and operation of monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Splunk, SOAR).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, code reviews, and security configuration evaluations.
  • Support developers with secure coding practices, automated testing (SAST/DAST), and data anonymization methods.
  • Analyze and interpret security event reports, threat intelligence, and incident data to identify risks and recommend remediation actions.
  • Draft and review policies, procedures, and security documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, compliance checks, and maturity assessments of security capabilities.
  • Prepare risk indicators, metrics, and dashboards for management reporting.
  • Engage in incident management, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, conduct market research on security solutions, and advise on suitable technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party providers to ensure robust security delivery.


Your profile


  • University degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10–12 years of professional experience in IT, with significant exposure (6+ years) to security-related roles.
  • Strong background in infrastructure and cloud security (Azure, AWS) and familiarity with secure architecture principles.
  • Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as Splunk, SOAR, and EDR solutions.
  • Skilled in risk management, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
  • Proven track record in advising on and implementing security for critical infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience in secure software development lifecycle, penetration testing, and application security.
  • Experience in governance, risk management, compliance, and audit processes.
  • Recognized certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+, CSX-P, or similar. Additional credentials in architecture (ISSAP, SABSA SCF, etc.), risk (CRISC), or governance (CISM) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT service management practices (e.g., ITIL) and project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMI).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to interact across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English (C1/C2); French proficiency is an advantage.
