As a Machine Learning Engineer at Openwave, you’ll join a phenomenal team of hardworking engineers and will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities.

Specific Job Responsibilities

1. Work with product management, architecture and field teams to integrate ML services into existing and new products.
2. Build and deploy ML models for NLP, image classification, anomaly detection and other use cases.
3. Integrate with existing models such as LLMs, Causal AI, Agentic AI
4. Work with various teams on data acquisition and cleanup
5. Perform testing, debugging, maintenance and documentation of ML models.
6. Integrate ML model training and testing into our CI/CD process.
7. Stay up to date on advancements in AI, ML and data science, incorporating new technologies into our software stack.

Who we have in mind:

Position Requirements 

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or related field.
2. Experience delivering at least one production ready ML solution.
3. Strong experience in programming languages such as Python and Java.
4. Experience with one or more ML frameworks (ONNX, TensorFlow, PyTorch etc..)
5. Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with fine-tuning and training models.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a globally distributed remote team.

Preferred Skills: 

Experience with Linux system administration

Experience with SCM systems such as git

Experience with CI/CD systems such as Bamboo

Experience developing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

Experience integrating RAG and Vector Search into AI systems

Experience deploying AI models into production for large scale use

Experience with messaging protocols and related data formats such as for E-Mail, SMS, RCS

Experience with distributed systems – architecture, design, operations and monitoring
