IT Software Architect (AWS/K8S)

About The Opportunity

A successful international fintech company developing advanced solutions for digital asset trading, blockchain applications, and secure custody systems is looking for an experienced IT Architect with solid expertise in AWS and Kubernetes.

Their mission is to build secure, scalable, and user-friendly platforms that shape the future of fintech and blockchain.

For this senior position, they offer a salary starting from €5,000 - €6,000 gross/month and above (depending on experience and expertise), along with a clear career progression and bonus scheme.

Location: Kranj Slovenia (modern office with 50+ developers, excellent connections to Ljubljana and the Gorenjska region).

Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve IT architecture for scalable fintech and blockchain products.
Plan and implement cloud solutions on AWS, with orchestration via Kubernetes (K8S).
Collaborate with development teams to build infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines.
Introduce best practices for security, availability, and performance across systems.
Provide guidance on technical decisions and mentor junior colleagues.
Stay updated with industry trends and integrate innovative technologies.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (3–5+ years).
Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with CI/CD tools, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Good knowledge of cloud security practices.
Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and strategic thinking.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English (spoken & written).
