Position Overview:


A global technology and telecommunications company is seeking to appoint a Country Sales Director on a freelance contract to lead its entry and commercial expansion in Spain. This is the company’s first executive role in the country, responsible for building the local presence, driving sales strategy, and securing large-scale contracts with key market players.

This highly strategic and visible position requires a senior commercial leader with outstanding negotiation skills, strong influence across the business landscape, and the ability to generate significant market penetration. The selected candidate will act as the company’s senior representative in Spain, with full autonomy and accountability for results.


Key Responsibilities:


  • implement and execute the company’s sales strategy in Spain.
  • Establish and strengthen high-level relationships with senior decision-makers in major corporations, institutions, and strategic accounts.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and large-scale contracts across multiple industries.
  • Represent the company in tenders, bids, and high-impact negotiations.
  • Build and leverage a robust network of contacts to accelerate market penetration.
  • Develop sales processes, performance metrics, and reporting structures to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Report directly to the global executive committee, ensuring alignment with international objectives.
  • Act as the key ambassador of the company in Spain, with full executive autonomy.


Candidate Profile:


  • Extensive senior experience in sales leadership or business development at national and international levels.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing strategic, high-value contracts.
  • Exceptional influencing, networking, and negotiation skills with access to C-level decision-makers in Spain.
  • Entrepreneurial and executive mindset, with high levels of autonomy and a strong results orientation.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to represent the company at the highest levels.
  • Background in technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, or related industries will be highly valued.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written); additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Availability to work under a freelance contract with full dedication and commitment to the company’s objectives in Spain.
