DevOps Engineer (50–80%)

Location: Zurich or Davos, Switzerland (hybrid)

Start: 1 November 2025

 

AlpineAI is one of Switzerland’s hottest generative AI startups, specializing in trusted AI solutions for system-critical sectors.


Your Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our AI and development team to ensure that our services and LLM-powered applications run reliably, securely, and efficiently in production. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. You will also set up monitoring, automation, and help integrate models seamlessly into production environments.


Your Responsibilities

  • Automate deployments of models and services in cloud and/or on-premise environments
  • Manage infrastructure (Kubernetes) and optimize for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for our systems, including performance tuning
  • Collaborate with developers and AI engineers to apply DevOps best practices and ensure stable production environments
  • Ensure infrastructure security and compliance (e.g., access control, data handling, certificates management)
  • Document deployments, system architectures, and operational processes
  • Support troubleshooting, release management, and rollback strategies


Your Profile

  • Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with on-premise DevOps infrastructure
  • Solid programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, Cursor)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc.)
  • Structured, analytical, and well-documented work style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Understanding of ML model deployment and model serving (e.g., TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, MLflow) is a plus
