Your Mission
We are looking for an early-career Cybersecurity Analyst who is eager to grow their technical skills, thrives on exploring new ideas, adapts quickly, and enjoys pushing boundaries. This entry-level role blends investigative cybersecurity with hands-on development and infrastructure work. You will contribute to the analysis of digital evidence, help design data-driven security workflows, and support the infrastructure that enables cutting-edge cybercrime investigations.
This position is part of an EU-funded cybersecurity project, offering the opportunity to collaborate with international partners and contribute to research and innovation at a European scale.
What We Offer
- A role designed for explorers and innovators who want to experiment, adapt, and grow.
- Mentorship and structured learning, combined with freedom to test and push new approaches.
- Opportunities to work on real-world cybercrime challenges with the latest AI and security technologies.
- A collaborative culture that values initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving.
Under the leadership of the Cybersecurity Project Lead, the Cybersecurity Analyst’s main responsibilities will include the following:
- Explore and experiment with new tools, methods, and technologies to strengthen cybercrime detection and analysis.
- Collect, process, and evaluate digital data from diverse sources in a forensically sound way.
- Develop scripts, small-scale tools, and automation pipelines to simplify and accelerate security workflows.
- Contribute to the preparation, curation, and annotation of datasets used in AI-driven models.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (security researchers, developers, data scientists) to overcome technical and investigative challenges.
- Document findings, methods, and lessons learned to help the team continuously evolve.
Your Experience, Skills & Attribute
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including digital forensics, network security, and fraud detection.
- Hands-on ability with Python or another scripting language for automation and data handling.
- Comfortable in Linux/Unix environments, with basic system administration knowledge.
- Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and handling structured/unstructured data.
- Curiosity to experiment with new tools and learn emerging technologies.
- Adaptability and resilience when facing ambiguous or unfamiliar problems.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the drive to break through barriers.
- Knowledge of OSINT techniques and open-source security frameworks.
- Interest in AI/ML applications for cybersecurity (NLP, anomaly detection, multimedia analysis).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Scaleway) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD workflows (GitLab CI).
- Multilingual ability for working with diverse online data sources.
- A CV in a pdf format.
- A cover letter describing your motivation and salary expectations, in a pdf format.
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Duration: 2 years
- Location: ideally Geneva, or remote within Switzerland
